Light is ubiquitous, but does it always have to look the same?

Calling upon the ancient customs of light medicine, color therapy, symbolism, and prayer, Allyssa taps into the spiritual tradition of stained glass and carries forward the healing properties of the craft into modern day living.

Allyssa’s glass works range from functional pieces for spiritual practice to abstract panels which utilize found objects and rescued glass. Her creative process begins by asking,

“what will the onlooker f e e l when in the presence of this piece?”

Through continued practice and patience, Allyssa works toward honoring the historic craftsmanship of the trade. It is with much gratitude that she reflects on the number of incredible glass artists who have come before, and who are here now working their magic through the craft.
